At UC Davis Facilities Management (FM), there's a friendly face you can count on to keep the elevators running smoothly, and to ensure customer satisfaction. Meet Aimee Spivey, our dedicated Elevator Supervisor in Building Maintenance Services, who has made a remarkable impact since joining us in January 2023.

Before embarking on her journey with UC Davis, Aimee gained valuable experience working for elevator companies in the Bay Area. However, drawn by UC Davis' reputation for work-life balance and seeking a change of pace and new challenges, she made the leap and hasn't looked back since.

As an Elevator Supervisor, Aimee is responsible for more than just overseeing her team. She goes above and beyond to make sure they have everything they need to keep the elevators operating efficiently. Aimee's commitment to her team and to customer service shines in her daily interactions. She thoroughly enjoys communicating with our customers, fostering direct relationships, and being the go-to person for any questions or concerns.

Currently, Aimee is involved in the elevator modernization project, working alongside her team. This initiative aims to update and enhance the higher use and outdated elevators on campus. By installing new controllers and equipment, Aimee and her team want to keep UC Davis at the forefront of innovation and safety.

Outside of work, Aimee enjoys indulging in her passions. Cooking, reading, and cheering on her favorite sports teams, mainly the San Francisco Giants, are among her top pastimes. Looking ahead, Aimee has her sights set on exploring the world and checking off her bucket list; her ideal destination is Southern France!
