We are excited to feature Kelly Newsom as one of our outstanding customers here at Facilities Management! For almost three years, Kelly has worked as the facilities manager at the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences. She worked previously as the facilities manager at the College of Biological Sciences. 

Kelly describes her role as facilities manager as “non-traditional”, as she fulfills many different duties during her work day. Her main responsibility, she says, is managing the college’s real estate portfolio, including infrastructure needs, ag land and occupied spaces. She oversees various projects that take place at the college’s many facilities. While she admits that her role can sometimes be challenging, Kelly finds it incredibly rewarding to complete large projects in which she coordinates with many different departments, including Facilities Management! 

Kelly’s favorite part of her job is being able to work with so many incredible coworkers. She says that even though projects can be tough, the people she works with always make her job enjoyable!

When she’s not hard at work as a facilities manager, Kelly loves to golf and spend time with her friends and family. She is also currently going to school to pursue a degree in psychology. We wish you the best and thank you for being such an amazing customer, Kelly!
