Employee Spotlight: Mallory Gatchalian

We caught up with Operation Supports Lead Customer Experience Specialist Mallory Gatchalian this month. Mallory joined Operations Support, Customer Experience in September 2018 and was promoted from specialist to lead in 2021.   

Mallory's role includes directly supporting BMS, Utilities, Fleet, and Custodial. She loves interacting with the skilled trades and communicating the needs of internal and external campus customers so they can resolve maintenance issues and repairs more quickly and efficiently. Mallory's can-do attitude and ability to dig into the details when customers call help to assure that the staff member assigned to the task has all the information needed to tackle the job.

Mallory consistently looks for opportunities to learn more about our campus infrastructure to understand the customer's issue so she can assign the task to the appropriate shop. Working with various units in FM allows Mallory to work collaboratively as part of a team, which helps her grow and enjoy her time at work. Over the past two years, Mallory has been instrumental in keeping the team's procedures up to date and consolidated online so all staff can easily access the information. She also assisted with training two new staff members this past year.  

When she's not at work, Mallory is likely golfing or at CrossFit. She loves that these activities help her maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.
