Sirarpi Hovhannisyan's Journey in ECO Communications

Sirarpi Hovhannisyan

Meet Sirarpi Hovhannisyan, a fourth year Cinema & Digital Media and Communications major who has worked in the Energy and Engineering Office as a communications intern for the past two and a half years. Her duties include learning about energy efficient programs on campus and finding innovative and creative ways to promote the projects and teach students about energy efficiency.

Sirarpi says her favorite part of the job is “getting to help find creative ways to share information about what ECO is doing, and tips on ways to save energy.” She has enjoyed being able to learn so much about energy during her internship. Sirarpi and the other ECO communications interns are responsible for the office’s social media accounts and promotional campaigns. She has produced content on projects such as TherMOOstat and Trim the Waste.

Sirarpi is hopeful that her degree will allow her to follow her dream of working in the entertainment industry in production. A fun fact about Sirarpi is she loves to cook and bake. She says that she enjoys cooking even more when it is for friends and family.  We know that whether producing social media posts about energy, producing the next blockbuster down the road, or producing a batch of baked goods, Sirarpi’s energy will allow her to shine.
