Meet Sofia Zamora, a student employee in her fourth year studying Animal Science here at UC Davis. Sofia is a Student Dispatcher and has been part of the team at Facilities Management Fleet Services since November 2020.

As a Student Dispatcher, Sofia answers customer emails and phone calls and works with others to manage fleet vehicles. She coordinates with the Enterprise car rental agency to get specific cars for their customers that Fleet Services may not have on hand. Sofia has never worked in a small office before and loves the environment! She also enjoys working with her coworkers as everyone is kind.

Following her graduation this spring, Sofia plans to attend veterinary school. Sofia’s internship with Fleet Services will assist her in this career path as she has learned how to communicate effectively and work with others in a professional setting. Her love for animals likely comes from having two guinea pigs and a tortoise. She is also a huge Disney and Harry Potter fan!
