Employee Spotlight: Petar Grujich

Meet Energy & Engineering’s Control Engineer, Petar Grujich! Petar has been with Facilities Management (FM) since 2017, when he was selected to join the Energy and Engineering team after working as a construction technician for Siemens Automation Company.

Changing the Norm Saves Energy

No idea is too big or small when saving energy and improving systems. Joe Lestanguet, Inspector, Planner, and Estimator for Facilities Management Building Maintenance Services (FM BMS), shared an energy-saving idea with Sam Cole, an Energy Project Engineer from the Energy and Engineering office, and they recently implemented the project together.

Genome Datacenter is Stunning Success

In winter of 2018/2019, the Central Heating and Cooling Plant (CHCP) increased the campus chilled water supply temperature to reduce overall campus operating costs. As a result of this change, issues with heat exchangers were identified at The Genome and Biomedical Sciences Facility (GBSF) datacenter.
