Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

Welcome to the UC Davis GIS site. The Campus's GIS program goals are to maintain and provide high-quality spatial data to both the Administrative and Academic units on campus and to the public, offer mapping services to citizens through our on-line mapping applications, and provide data to venders for campuswide projects.

The Office of Campus Planning is responsible for the integration of geographic information systems (GIS) into planning functions, such as analysis, modeling and visualization. We collect and analyze data from multiple sources, and use it to solve complicated problems such as the placement of new buildings, or stormwater detention basins.
