Active Commissioning Enterprise

Active Building Commissioning

The Energy Engineering team in Facilities manages the Active Commissioning Enterprise (ACE), which is a self-funding program that maximizes energy efficiency in existing buildings. The ACE program began in 2015 with Monitoring-Based Commissioning (MBCx) projects that sought to reduce building energy consumption through systems improvement and upgrade.

Past and Current Projects

The MBCx projects in Ghausi and Plant & Environmental Sciences Buildings were completed in 2016 and are continuously monitored for energy savings. Veterinary Medicine 3A was completed in September 2018 and will generate savings for Fiscal Year 18-19. Peter J. Shields Library and Genome & Biomedical Sciences Facility are expected to be completed in FY 18-19.
