Berkeley Bus FAQs

  • How long does the bus ride take?
  • The bus ride is approximately 90 minutes long, depending on traffic and other conditions.
  • Who can ride the Berkeley Bus?
  • UCD/UCB faculty, staff, and registered students
  • When can I make a reservation?
  • You may make a reservation up to 30 days in advance
  • I left something on the bus, who do I contact?
  • Contact Lost & Found at Fleet Services by calling 530-752-0577.
  • How much is the Shuttle Fare?
  • The fare is $12.00 one way. Tickets can be purchased via the online registration system.
  • What is the cancellation policy?
  • Reservations must be cancelled by using the online registration system 24 hours in advance of the shuttle departure time to receive a refund. Refunds will be processed less transaction and cancellation fees. Refunds may take up to 3 business days to process. 
  • What is the luggage policy?
  • Passengers are allowed up to two carry-on items not exceeding 7"x12"x19" that can be safely stored under the seats or in overhead racks during transport.
  • Can I take my bicycle?
  • The shuttle features a bicycle rack that can accommodate two bicycles on a first come, first served basis.
  • Is there WiFi available in the shuttle?
  • Yes, most shuttles offer free WiFi.
  • Is there wheelchair access?
  • Yes, but you must indicate this need on the registration form when you make your reservation.
  • Are there alternative transportation methods to Berkeley? 
  • You can take the Amtrak, BART, or UC Davis Vanpool.
