UC Davis' park-like setting enriches the university's teaching, research, and public service mission. Landscape
Operations is responsible for landscape maintenance for sports fields, central campus, campus housing, rural campus, the
Arboretum and campus trees.
Our campus is a living space enjoyed by students, faculty, staff, and visitors from around the world. It is also
an outdoor classroom where study, observation, and experimentation take place. Take a virtual tour of our rose garden
(Garden of the Ladyes),
or plan a stroll through or magnificent tree collection.
Landscape Maintenance
Landscape Operations maintains the turf, shrubs, vines, ground cover, trees, and other plants for most
campus outdoor areas, including campus sport and intramural
fields.
We carefully select plant materials that conserve water and labor
wherever possible. We compost our plant trimmings and other green waste.
