The jeffrey pine is a tall, evergreen, cone-bearing tree. The deep furrows of its bark are a distinguishing characteristic - bark is also said to have a vanilla scent.

Notes: Silver-gray bark and bluish foliage. Needles are in bundles of 3, 5-8 in. long.
