The Canary Island pine is a tall, cone-bearing, evergreen tree with long, shiny, drooping needles.

Habitat: Prefers rich, moist, well-drained soil. Will tolerate low water conditions. Frost-sensitive.
General Habit: Grows to 60-80 ft. Pyramid-shaped when young, round-headed when old.
Notes: Needles are 3 in a bundle, 9-12 in. long. Cones are 4-9 in. long. Note interesting arrangement of needles near tips of branches.
