Habitat: Can grow in a wide range of soil and moisture conditions. Prefers a warm climate, can tolerate intense heat and draught, frost tender.
General Habit: Many different characteristics among species: form ranges from sprawling shrubs to tall trees that can grow to over 300 ft, leaves can be round or linear in shape and dark green to silver grey in color, flowers vary in size and color, bark can be smooth and colorful (renewed each year by shedding) or hard and rough.
Notes: Oils from trees can be used for medicines and perfumes. Oil has also demonstrated antibacterial and antifungal properties. This large genus of evergreen trees and shrubs is composed of over 600 species. This particular grove is composed of at least five species.
