The Chinese hackberry is a tall tree with a broad canopy. Good street tree; has smooth leaves with scalloped edges and small berry like fruits.

Notes: Many Chinese Hackberries on campus have begun to show signs of stress due to high concentrations of boron in the water and infestations of the Australian wooly aphid.
