The deodar cedar is a tall, evergreen, cone-bearing tree. Its silhouette shows off its graceful limbs, which are dramatic and can weep to the ground.

Native Range: Himalayas
Habitat: Prefers well-drained, dry and deep soil.
General Habit: Evergreen, pyramid shape, grows to about 80 ft., with fast growth early on.
Notes: This cedar is almost extinct in its native range, where it grew to 200 ft. tall. Blue-green needles, about 1-2 in. long and clustered in bundles of about 20-30 on pendulous branches.
