Building Comparison. What Can I Do?

This website shows campuswide and building-specific electricity use and cost for the UC Davis campus in Davis, California. It pulls real-time data from the same monitoring system that Facilities Management utility technicians use.

The goal of this site is to give the campus community a sense of connection with our own energy conservation issues. It is intended to empower collective and individual action to eliminate unnecessary energy use. Real-time and historical data on this site can be used as a baseline to evaluate and celebrate results from energy conservation strategies.

Facilities Management is engaged in many large-scale projects that are saving millions in kilowatt hours, dollars and carbon emissions. We challenge the campus community to join this effort by taking everyday actions to reduce energy consumption. As individuals, the impact may seem small, but collectively, we can significantly reduce energy bills while contributing to a cleaner environment.
